Dear Reader,
I have just posted the first articles for the March edition of The Informer (no. 271).
The first is yet another contribution to the Full Monti saga, giving you an update on the liberalisation proposals.
The second talks about “Italo”, the new private fast train service soon to be introduced by NTV, the company owned by Luca di Montezemolo, Diego Della Valle and others.
“Italian Dressing” is the fifth article by American journalist Manya Kaczkowski. These are her impressions of a “newcomer to Italy” – this week on the culture shock suffered when observing how Italians dress, even Italian nuns!
The fourth article is by John Markham who very pertinently asks “Why has Britain turned its back on expats?” It was first published in the Telegraph Expat.
Dear John contains some interesting discussions on the new wealth tax on foreign assets (a question we will no doubt be coming back to frequently in the future), dual nationality and an appeal from David Lidington, Britain’s Europe Minister, for interested expats to apply for EU jobs.
As usual, these articles have been posted not only separately in the appropriate section of the Archive, but also all together in Miscellaneous/Updates for your convenience. They are visible to current subscribers on www.informer.it. If you can’t get “through the wall”, it means your subscription has lapsed. Please renew ASAP to get the discount.
Best regards,
John Murphy
